IT IS MY YEAR?

It is week four of January and… well, the greeting “Happy New Year” is no longer common for most people. It’s not like the year isn’t new anymore… right?

Through my reflections this year, I remembered I had resolutions. But it’s week four, and I don’t have a system.

New year, old me, I guess… when will the cycle break?

I like new beginnings, but what exactly is commencing?

Aren’t my resolutions the same as last year’s?

This is my year? Every year? Why?

Am I so comfortable with mediocrity that I don’t work for what I want?

Week four and I haven’t read four books. It feels like a disrespect to myself.

Why expect someone else to keep promises when I can’t keep mine to myself?

I haven’t signed up for the course I wanted—so what skill will I have built?

The good thing is, it’s only week four, which means I have 48 more to go.

Let these 48 weeks remind you of your mission.

Let’s not just greet each other “Happy New Year” and forget the promises we made to ourselves.

The biggest form of self-love is being accountable to yourself.

Show up for YOU. Open your Bible for you. Go to the gym for YOU.

Leave toxicity.

Grow for you, and only you.

It is finally time for it to become your year.
